The ABH Coffee Table Book, compiled by Dr Shamin
Mahabeer and Dr Pravin Thakur, takes readers on a visual
odyssey of the home’s journey from its humble beginnings in
1921 through to 2021 when the home turned 100 years old.
The book is crafted in a chronology that clearly depicts the
foundations upon which the ABH has grown to become one
of South Africa’s largest registered Non-Profit and Public
Benefit Organisations. It showcases Dr Shishupal
Rambharos, the father of the ABH, whose 80-year service to
the organisation was instrumental in the development of
strategic, operational and functional enhancements in the
care for those in need.
